How do I try out One to One sessions?

Do I need to be fit to start with?
No, don’t worry - you’re at Matt Woods Fitness to get fit! Your fitness level is always taken into account and the exercise modifications provided where required.
What is the Matt Woods Fitness minimum age?
The minimum age limit is 17 years old.
Can I take part even if I am completely unfit and/or overweight?
Of course – we simply start at your level. More challenging exercises will be demonstrated as you improve.
Do I need to check with a health professional before I sign up?
You should complete the terms and conditions which includes a general disclaimer /health questionnaire before you start your first session. If in doubt or you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions, we recommend you speak to your GP before trying a session.
How do I pay?
One to One sessions are by arrangement.
Hiitstart classes - Online payment facility is provided by PayPal (accepting all major credit/debit cards). You can also pay by cash or cheque in person and ongoing monthly payment by standing order.
What should I wear for a session?
Ladies, you’ll need some comfy workout tights, a workout top, a towel and don’t forget a decent sports bra. Guys, you’ll need a t-shirt, suitable workout shorts or leggings and a towel. Footwear should be clean and of the indoor type and you’ll probably also need some water.
Are there any studio rules or etiquette that I need to know about?
Please put phones on silent and don't make or take calls in the studio. A friendly and positive attitude is something that is very important to us, so please leave any negativity at the door before you start. We will ensure that each One to One session or Hiitstart class is enjoyable for all participants.
How long is each workout?
One to One sessions are normally an hour each. All the current Hiitstart sessions are 30 minutes in length.
What if I am late for a session?
For the convenience of all, we ask that everyone arrives between 5 and 15 minutes before the start of a session. It can be very distracting to arrive late and admittance is left to the discretion of the instructor if late entry exceeds 5 minutes.
